ThermiLift – ThermiTight – ThermiRF
Dr. Honrado is proud to introduce ThermiLift also known as ThermiTight and ThermiRF to our Los Angeles practice, the newest FDA approved minimally invasive device that heats and repairs saggy, lose skin from within. The revolutionary ThermiLift technology uses Radio Frequency energy in unique ways to tighten the skin, reduce fat and relax the frown (glabellar) lines of the forehead.
What is ThermiLift?
ThermiLift is a micro-invasive treatment that uses a tiny probe to heat up the fibrous septae network (connective tissues) and dermal tissue. When temperatures of 50-60C are applied a 3-D shrinkage effect may be induced, which results in a lifting and tightening of target tissues. During ThermiLift treatments, infrared imaging is employed to ensure safe and consistent treatments for maximum clinical outcomes.
ThermiLift can be used to relax the nerves that cause the glabellar (‘11s”) frown lines, like Botox, only it lasts longer—up to two years! It is the perfect non-toxin alternative to injectable neurotoxins that eliminates or significantly reduces frown line and wrinkles, and with immediate and longer lasting results.
ThermiLift also “melts” fat and tighten the skin of the lower face, jowls and neck, fat deposits in the abdomen, back, arms, and knees.
1. Treats lax and sagging skin
2. Treats frown lines
3. Treats many areas of the body
4. Stimulates long-term collagen growth
5. Is safe, comfortable and minimally-invasive
6. Minimal or no downtime
7. Short Recovery
Who is a Candidate for ThermiLift?
ThermiLift is perfect for Patients who want:
1. To delay a major procedure
2. An effective one-time treatment
3. Little down time
4. Long lasting results
5. The In-Between Patient
How is ThermiLift Performed?
A tiny radio-frequency probe delivers the prescribed dose of safe RF energy through the non-insulated tip of the probe to heat the targeted fat cells causing the skin to heat, tighten and retract. This is accomplished with local anesthetic, in about 1-hour, and with minimal discomfort or downtime. This very accurate method to selectively target the fat pockets results in controlled lipolysis. Over time, the treated fat cells are drained via the lymphatic system and then excreted as urine. The prescribed temperature is set by Dr. Honrado to ensure a comfortable yet effective treatment for each patient.
Radiofrequency (RF) has been safely used in cardiology, pain management, dermatology, plastic surgery and other medical specialties for over ten years. ThermiLift technology allows Dr. Honrado to precisely locate an area for treatment and then apply a specific dose of controlled radiofrequency energy to a portion of the targeted area.
Who is a candidate? How do I know if I’m a candidate?
Almost anyone. This can be used on the: neck, jowls, belly, arms and legs.
How soon will I see results?
Six months for complete results.
What can I expect during the procedure?
Heat and some discomfort.
What needs to be done to prepare/is any preparation needed?
How much discomfort will I experience during and after? Will Dr. Honrado or his still give me any type of anesthetic?
Yes, an anesthetic will be injected under the skin.
How quick is the recovery time? How much downtime is needed after?
Approximately 3-5 days.
How soon will I be able to return to work? Will I need to go directly home afterwards to recover?
Typically 3-5 days after.
What are the post procedure instructions?
How many treatments are needed?
Typically one treatment is needed, although sometimes two.
Depending on the skin’s laxity, the area to be treated and the results desired, multiple treatments may be required. Keep in mind that the results from ThermiLift are gradual and may take from three to six months to maximize the effects of the treatment.
How does ThermiLift different from laser procedures?
Unlike lasers, with ThermiLift, where the laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the skin’s surface, the RF energy stimulates the production of collagen (which supports the skin) from within. ThermiLift can be used to tighten the skin of the face, neck, back, chest and arms. ThermiLift is the first aesthetic therapy with temperature control. This means that Dr. Honrado can set the desired temperature and deliver the therapy reducing risk of burns to the patient.
Can I have other treatments with Body Contouring?
Yes, ThermiLift can be used to tighten the skin of the face, neck, back, chest and arms. ThermiLift is the first aesthetic therapy with temperature control. Many patients choose skin tightened to enhance the results of their spot fat reduction and improve their facial and body contours.
How is ThermiLift minimally invasive?
Specially designed RF MICRO cannula allow Dr. Honrado to easily contour “trouble” areas previously difficult to impact, such as Submental, Axillary Fold, Arms, Abdomen and Knees. This is done by placing a MICRO cannula beneath the skin where the ThermLift Platform allows the physician to precisely deliver controlled heat to lax connective tissue and adipose (fat) tissue. Adipose tissue once melted is naturally disposed of by the body. The heat also contributes to tighten loose tissues below the skin and skin tightening at the skin’s surface by causing a healing response and responsive collagen synthesis.
Why is there a need for a new product focused on MICRO invasive volume reduction and skin tightening?
Liposuction can reduce fat, but there is significant downtime, cost and potential side effects to the patient, and other tissue tightening and lifting technologies are ineffective. In addition ThermiLift is ideal for small areas. Patients and Physicians alike have been searching for a safe and effective treatment that can reduce fat and tighten skin post procedure; especially for the small areas of the body that cause concern under the chin, love handles and arms.
How is ThermiLift different?
ThermiLift uses small, blunt needles to deliver a precise dose of temperature controlled RF energy under the skin. The clinician can set the desired temperature and know that is being delivered in consistent doses to the desired area while the surface area is monitored by an FDA approved infra red camera. Once the tip of the MICRO cannula reaches the target temperature the clock will begin and the procedure precisely monitored for both time and temperature. This allows the physician to customize the therapeutic dose for each patient.
Recovery After ThermiLift
Following your procedure, there is little to no downtime. The patient may experience mild swelling or discomfort that will resolve itself quickly.
ThermiLift is the perfect addition to your minimally invasive rejuvenation treatment plan, addressing wrinkle reduction, contouring and skin tightening with both non-invasive and minimally invasive applications.
