Allofill is an application of naturally occurring allograft fat tissue. It can be used to help fill soft-tissue defects, and it’s the perfect alternative to surgical fat grafting with your own tissue. Allograft is made from donated human fat tissue.
Normal fat grafting requires a surgical liposuction procedure. This procedure can be painful, expensive and will most likely require additional recovery time.
Allofill is a non invasive alternative to surgical fat grafting with your own tissue. In a typical fat grafting procedure, fat is harvested from one part of your body and is injected into another part of your body or face. With Allofill, you can skip this step, as Allofill is ready to use off the shelf, making its application a simple and easy procedure.
How does it work?
Allofill is injected under the skin, and it will instantly fill any soft tissue defects that are caused by fat loss.
Fat loss can occur naturally as a result of the aging process; or, it can result from the surgical removing of tissue. Either way, fat loss can affect the volume and shape of your face and body. Facial fat loss can contribute to the appearance of an aged skin.
Allofill will work with your body, providing an all-natural tissue scaffold. This all-natural tissue scaffold will then be populated with your own cells and blood vessels, creating cushion and support to your skin.
Your body will go through its natural healing process, in which Allofill will be remodeled into normal soft tissue by your body in a gradual and natural way.
The Treatment
The Allofill treatment is simple and easy, it’s a non-invasive procedure with minimal downtime.
Before the Treatment:
Before getting Allofill, we need to determine if you are a good candidate for the treatment. We will review your medical history and any potential risks associated with the treatment.
During the Treatment:
Allofill is applied by injection using a minimally invasive technique. The product will be carefully injected under the skin to fill in the soft tissue defects.
To avoid any discomfort during the procedure, we may offer to use an anesthetic.
After the Treatment:
Allofill results are immediate. You will be able to notice changes of the areas injected as soon as the procedure is completed.
Once the procedure is completed, we will indicate further after care treatment, such as icing the areas injected.
There is no downtime, so you should be able to return to your normal routine after the procedure. Just like other injectable procedures, you may experience mild swelling, redness, and bruising on the injection areas.
We will schedule a follow-up appointment to assess the results and determine whether or not a touch-up is necessary.
