What is Thermirase?

What is it?

Is the newest FDA-approved treatment for wrinkles and frown lines in the facial area.

The overall goal is to relax the muscles that cause wrinkles in the face, resulting in smoother and younger looking skin.

Benefits:

  1. ThermiRase is notable for being completely non-toxic.
  2. This treatment can provide smooth, attractive results that last between 12 and 18 months, much longer than alternatives, such as BOTOX.
  3. Minimally invasive: Eliminates the need for more invasive or complex plastic surgeries such as a facelift.
  4. Minimal risks for side effects and complications.

ThermiRase Candidates:

Almost anyone.

ThermiRase Treatment:

Results last from 1 to 2 years with only one treatment.

Procedure:

Local Anesthesia: Yes, to help patients remain calm and comfortable.

Duration: About 30 minutes.

The heat generated by radio-frequency targets specific tissues in the underlying skin, ablating the motor nerve which causes facial wrinkles.

This process involves the use of a small probe that generates radio-frequency heat.

After mapping out the target muscle and nerves, the doctor will gently insert the radio-frequency probe beneath the skin and use low-level energy impulses to purposefully disrupt the wrinkle-causing muscles.

Things to remember about ThermiRase:

-During the procedure, you can expect some discomfort.

-There are no post-procedure instructions.

Recovery

-About 1 week for full recovery.

-Downtime will depend on the amount of swelling and this varies person to person.
