Super Doctors identifies the top doctors, which are selected by their peers and independent research of MSP Communications. To select the top physicians, MSP communications employs a rigorous procedure that includes several steps. The process is designed to identify doctors who have reached a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Every year, MSP Communications invites doctors to nominate colleagues, which they would choose in case of needing medical attention in the specific medical specializations. In addition to peer related nominations, MSP Communications exhaustively
researches candidates in medical databases, online sources, and publications for doctors who have attained certain credentials, honors or professional achievements. This way, MSP Communications creates a pool of candidates that are then evaluated on 10 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.
– Years of experience
– Hospital appointments
– Professional activities
– Leadership positions
– Academic achievements/positions
– Board certifications
– Publications, lectures & presentations
– Honors and awards
-Any other outstanding achievement
Afterward, the nominees are grouped into specialties. The doctors who have the highest scores in their area are then invited to a “Blue Ribbon Panel” to review and evaluate a list of nominees from his/her area.
Totaling the points of the received nominations, research, and blue ribbon panel review holds the final selection step.
Only the highest-scoring doctors are includ
ed on the Super Doctors list, which is approximately 5% of the physicians within the respective state or region.
