Some of you already know that I was recently featured on ABC news as an expert in Los Angeles chin surgery, or mentoplasty. The precipitating event? A new study by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons that found that the number of chin implants is growing far faster than other types of cosmetic surgery, outpacing breast augmentation, BOTOX, and liposuction combined.
The video package was great fun to do, and the issues it raises were on point: chin surgery can be subtle and effective, giving your face a more defined shape without creating an artificial appearance. The risks are indeed minimal, and these can be mitigated safely by sticking with a more experienced, board-certified Los Angeles facial cosmetic surgeon.
