Yes, Dr. Honrado is as good as it gets. On a personal level, Dr. Honrado is simply one of the loveliest people I have ever met and more than anyone could ask for in a doctor. He is patient, an amazing listener and communicator, kind, empathic, compassionate, honest, thoughtful and did I say HONEST? Yes, he is looking out for you, us, we, The Patient. As a beauty writer and concierge, I have found so many doctors in aesthetics and (cosmetic derms) to be focused on the bottom line, on building business and not on our needs. As women, concerned with aging and beauty, we can be vulnerable at times. When a doctor with years of experience and plaques and degrees on their walls enters the room, we are so quick to give over our power. Five thousand dollars later, we leave the office looking better perhaps, but not knowing what he heck just happened.
Dr. Honrado is only concerned with his patient’s happiness, safety and comfort. He will make sure you arrive at where you want to be as simply and minimally as necessary. I recently saw him for a new procedure called ThermiLift – a radio frequency lifting and tightening procedure that I had him perform on my neck and lower face. First of all, I am obsessed with this ThermiLift, but that is besides the point (yes, it is amazing – three weeks out, no down time, and there is a marked difference in my face and neck) – Dr. Honrado and his amazing team and wonderful nurse were so fantastic, I honestly did not want to leave. They made everything seamless – from the moment I entered his office, to the very end – I felt honestly cared for. The doctor’s eye for beauty, symmetry and detail are unparalleled.
I am looking forward to seeing him as my main freezer and filler doc. I cannot wait to try VOLUMA (the new cheek filler by Allergan) with him as I hear he is getting it any day now. I sent two girlfriends to him for Ulthera and we all shared a ‘how much do we love Dr. Honrado’ email chain for a good week or so!

Dr. Honrado is very detailed about what he sees without making you feel self-conscious. That is refreshing for a cosmetic doctor.

When the doctor came into the exam room he introduced himself to me as Carlo. He is extremely good at communicating, which means, among other things he is a great listener, and probably because of that, a terrific diagnostician. I was there for medical treatment, not PS. He thoroughly explained to me the cause of my problem and used his charts and plain language so even I understood what he was speaking about. Once the short-term issue is resolved I will most likely have a surgical procedure to correct an anatomic deficit in my sinus passage. He is not my first ENT, but he IS the only one who ever pointed out the problem, which has been the root of nasal issues for me most of my life. He’s great. A total pro. Extremely knowledgeable. Fabulous way of dealing with patients. No ‘attitude’ which unfortunately is part of the package with too many doctors in my view. Whether you’re there for a cosmetic procedure or because you’re ill, it’s quite clear you have 100% of his attention and ability the entire time. You are number 1 when he is with you. Another rarity. They are a winning team, and will certainly get my 5 star recommendation to anyone I know looking for an ENT or PS. I’ve already told several people about him, and will continue to do so. Literally, the best doctor that you will ever find. He gives out his cell phone so that if you need him, he is there immediately and he is always there immediately. He is thorough, meticulous and so hard working. He is so caring and sweet. He is AWESOME!!!

I just wanted to take the time to say “Thank you” for being such an understanding and compassionate Doctor. I don’t know if I could have gone thru with having a forehead flap and two surgeries had I not felt your sincere empathy from the moment we met for a consultation. Being that I am a woman and my face is the first point of contact, you assured me that you could make my nose look the same as it did before having the skin cancer removed. What an amazing job you did! You were so good at explaining the whole process and what to expect after the surgeries, it took away my anxiety and it meant a lot to me. The fact that you would take time out of your busy day to check on my recovery and even return my calls or emails as quickly as you did, really shows you care about your patients. Dr. Honrado is an outstanding, caring, brilliant Dr. and surgeon with no ego, amazing to find that in this city. He is a very conservative doctor that is honest and goes above and beyond the standards of most doctors in caring for the patient individually. His manner is so warm, kind, and considerate. Imagine getting a call just hours after surgery to make sure all is well. Or an email, making sure the injections you came in for are working to your satisfaction! I know, is this for real? Yes, Dr. Honrado is a very special man with a wealth of knowledge and skill.
